What is a Gentle Sleep Coach and What Exactly Do They Do?
A Gentle Sleep Coach understands the importance of a good night’s sleep for not only your child but for you as well. We all function better when we hit our magic number of hours of sleep. Our memories are sharper, our reflexes faster, our mood brighter, our energy levels higher, and we rise out of the fog that blurs one day into the next with the proper amount of sleep.
A Gentle Sleep Coach is trained in all areas of infant and child sleep. They understand the science behind sleep, infant mental health, attachment theory, early childhood development, why your child is exhibiting certain behaviors surrounding sleep, and how to set your child up for sleep success.
They analyse a detailed history form regarding your child’s temperament, routine, development, and your family’s struggles with sleep. A customized sleep plan will be created to meet the needs of your little one/s and of course stay within your emotional limits. During your consultation, you will be informed about your baby’s sleep needs for their age and will learn proven psychological sleep methods that have a lasting effect without leaving your baby to cry alone in their room. You will be educated in baby sleep signals, sleep windows, appropriate sleep environment, and how to teach your baby to self-soothe. Your coach will work with you to feel confident in carrying out your plan to ensure your success along your path to solid slumber.
Daily emails and phone calls will be available to support you as you work through your new routine, imparting you with knowledge, confidence, and moral support. Any and all questions you may have will be addressed along the way. As you move along your journey, you will have a personal cheerleader acknowledging your successes and offering suggestions for improvements.
Your sleep coach will work with you to meet the sleep goals you have set for you and your family.
Time is passing whether you are sleeping or not. Why not make the most of your time and start sleeping now? I can help.
